Happy New Year loves! I took some time out to really sit down and think what I want to do going forward with not only my blog but also my brand. As most of you may know, I am currently a college student majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. After graduating, I don't have a set plan but I do know that I want to work with Social Media because this is a place where I speak my mind to not only people that I know but across the world. It amazes me how people from other parts of the country follow me and ask me for advice. I just want to grow my audience because blogging and Youtube is something that I love to do and it also gives me the experience to show a company that they can trust me with having their brand in my hands.
Looking back into 2016, I have accomplished some things that I am extremely proud of. At the end of the Winter 2016 semester, I held a 3.3 GPA (Cul.) and a 3.7 semester GPA. I participated in my first internship with Blk + Blu Online while also working at the largest Macy's department store in the world (Herald's Square - NYC). I am currently a Residence Assistant for my school, which is a position I have been praying to get. As far as my brand, I did start my blog and youtube channel which was something that was so scary for me because I was always thinking what would people think of me. But I realized that this is something that you just have to do. Stop thinking about what other people would think about you and do what you love to do. Beauty, Skincare, Fashion & Lifestyle, that's me. The girl on snapchat with her bonnet, that's me. I want to come across as me unapologetically while also taking you guys along the college journey to show you the work that goes along with it. I want to be an inspiration to girls [young black girls in particular] who may think that they don't have a voice in today's media because you only see the mainstream Caucasian youtubers. While they are still amazing, REPRESENTATION MATTERS. I want to be that relatable person that you can ask questions to about college, beauty, skincare, etc. or even life in general. That is what I plan to do with my brand.
Going forward in 2017, I have set some goals in place. Regardless of my hectic schedule, I want to post on my blog and my Youtube channel as frequently as possible. Once I get back to school, I will create a schedule that would work with my classes and work schedule. I also want to participate in another internship. I have applied to some in the North Jersey, NYC area so keep my applications in your prayers! A 3.5+ GPA IS A MUST FOR ME BY THE END OF 2017. Finally, I want to plan two events by the end of 2017 that not only gives back to my community but showcases my brand and what I can do. Of course I will have monthly and quarterly goals but for the most part, these are my main focuses for the year of 2017 & I'm ready to knock them out of the water. Thank you for keeping up with me and following my journey & I wish you the best in the new year!
Sincerely, Sharon B

I know this a little new for me to talk about music on my blog and I should do it more often because look, I am a music junkie just as much as I am a beauty one. I know award shows are all for mainstream America [y'all know what I mean by that], but look these nominations look TF CRAZY. Take a look at some of the nominations below.
*To see the complete list of nominee's, please visit Billboard.com*
I'm not gonna really go into the Hip Hop/ Rap section because I feel like that's pretty fair from a mainstream perspective but I'm about to get in EVERY THING ELSE.
Well, those are pretty much my complete opinions of this years Mainstream American Music Awards. Make sure that you vote below for how I should do my live commentary on the fashion & music of the Grammy's on Feb. 12th, 2017!

First things first, I rarely go out places where I can wear heels and people won't look at me crazy so I take advantage of these opportunities lol. Last Saturday, I went to a brunch with my sisters from my organization and it was amazing. I wanted to keep my look classy and neutral (as always lol). Take a look at my outfit below and also check out my latest youtube video to see how I achieved this classic yet slayed makeup look!
Although, the items that I wore for this look are no longer available, I linked y'all to some great dupes and they are all UNDER $50! It's time to go shopping :)

Hey guys! Recently, I joined this app called Influenster (found on the Apple App Store and Google Play). Basically what you do on this app is connect your social media networks to this site and the more followers you have collectively, the more of an impact you have.
The bigger your impact and the more you review products, the Influenster team will hopefully pick you to receive a "VoxBox" which is basically free products companies send out through Influenster for people to test out and review. I received my first Vox Box about a week ago from Erno Laszlo and the product that I got was the Detoxifying Cleanse Set (sold at Sephora.com)
This travel size set comes with the "Detoxifying Cleansing Oil" and the "Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar". For only $28, this is a good deal for a high end skin care line! With my set, I followed the instructions that were given with the package and used the Cleansing Oil first. Now this oil doesn't even feel like an oil. It feels more like a soap. I wet my face first of course then gently massaged the oil into my face. It started to foam up like a soap as well. This product alone gave me a super clean and fresh feel and it felt amazing! I use this product alone on a daily basis. But when I want to go the extra mile, I break out my Sea Mud Deep Soap which is step 2 in this cleansing set. Just to clarify, I did not completely wash off the Cleansing Oil because I wanted to see how these two products worked together. I took the bar of soap and directly massaged it onto my face like it said in the instructions. Now this is the best Mud Mask/ Soap you will come across! The first time I used this product, I just used the soap and washed it off and I still got good results, but the second time, I let the mask sit for about two minutes and the results were even more amazing! I highly recommend this cleansing set to anyone who hates using a ton of products and wants to keep their cleansing routine simple. Here's a picture of my face fresh after my wash below!

Fall is slowly diminishing in the North and Winter is coming in strong. During this season you may think it's hard to stay fashionable and warm but it's easier than it seems and you don't have to break the bank either. Tights and Socks has always been a part of my wardrobe considering the fact that I've been dancing for 16 years now. I have a wide variety from tan, black, and pink to printed tights and let us not even get into my sock collection lol. But socks and tights are an easy way for you to layer and stay fabulous during the frigid winter weather. Here are some options below!
Note: There is also a difference between trashy and classy when it comes to lace tights. People can tell the difference between cheap tights and quality ones. Make sure you make the right purchase!
Styling tights and socks though is the tricky part. You have to be careful to not over do it to avoid just doing too much. Patterned tights and socks are just like a statement necklace, the center of attention in your outfit. You want to keep people drawn to the statement piece. Here's some examples from Dana Forlano and myself below.
Send in some pictures to my comments and social media handles so I can see how you're styling throughout the Fall/ Winter season!

With the weather being so bipolar, I feel like it's so hard for me to pick an outfit out without having to worry about showing too much skin and getting sick. This look was inspired by me snooping around on @MakeMeOverMalika's Instagram page. Malika (@LouisnPearls) is a stylist who I met around last year & I fell in love with her and her brand ever since. Check her out for your styling tips to slay for the Fall/ Winter Season!
If you haven't been living under a rock then you know about the ignorant, stereotypical, and RACIST comments that fashion designer, Marc Jacobs, has made in response to using pastel colored faux locs on his models for his 2016 NYFW show. Here's my thing about this, I am an artist myself so I can understand when designers, dancers, artists, etc. take something and turn it into something beautiful. But if you're going to use a culture, you have to do it RIGHT. Now Marc Jacobs artistic activity wasn't even the issue, it was the COMMENTS. Take a look down at the atrocity down below...
So let me address this ass hole on each part of his racist ass comments. One, white people take and take from other cultures and never gives credit. Examples:
Number Two, Black Women wearing their hair straight. Okay, FIRST OF ALL *MEHGAN FROM BGC VOICE*, Black Women have been FORCED to wear their hair straight by white counterparts such as YOU. My people literally cannot get jobs because of their locs but you wanna talk about straight hair on black women. When you get fired, don't get hired, or get demerits because of your natural hair, then you can talk. There was literally a law passed that people can legally NOT hire or FIRE black people because of their locs, read more about the case here.
Number Three, the I don't see race thing you people try to pull BLOWS ME! You have black and white vision or something? With those shades in your foundation range, I can clearly see how you can say you don't see color. *Picture Below*
Any true artist would acknowledge the fact that everyone is different and embrace it. That bullshit ass, "I don't see color" mess is so annoying, Just like All Lives Matter! If anything, Marc Jacobs along with the rest of his colleagues with the same mentality are the narrow minded ones by not even listening to the people of the culture you're stealing from concerns.
Now as I said, Marc Jacobs is officially cancelled and I won't, along with countless other black women, be spending my hard earned money towards his products. Which kinda sucks because his lipglosses are bomb lol. But I also wanted to give a huge shoutout and say I have earned so much respect from Jackie Aina for speaking out against Marc Jacobs. As you know she is a huge beauty guru who is on his PR list. I respect her so much for putting her morals and culture before her sponsorships. Take a look at her video below.
With that being said, Thank you for reading. Until Next Time!
